What Medicare Covers
Medicare Part B covers medically necessary services from doctors and nurse practitioners. Medicare's billing rules include visits where you live: a private home, assisted living, memory care or independent living.
You don't have to be homebound. Medicare's home health benefit requires it, but CMS rules say a physician house call does not.
Dvora's Medicare-covered services include:
Primary care: checkups, sick visits, medication reviews and ongoing care.
Palliative care: symptom and comfort-focused visits from a physician or NP, billed under Part B like other provider visits. You don't have to be in hospice.
Chronic care management: monthly care planning and coordination if you have two or more chronic conditions expected to last at least a year.
Transitional care: follow-up care in the 30 days after you leave a hospital or facility.

What You May Pay
With Original Medicare, house calls follow the usual Part B rules:
Deductible: You pay the annual Part B deductible first. It's $283 in 2026, according to Medicare.gov.
Coinsurance: After that, you usually pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for each visit.
CCM and TCM: These are covered services, and cost sharing may apply.
A Medigap policy or other coverage may help with these costs. We'll talk through costs with you before care starts.
